Photographer Edward Burtynsky makes large scale photographs of human industry – of the process, products and waste. The photos are beautiful. Full of repetitive waves of interesting shape and pattern, it takes a moment for your brain to catch up and understand what it is you’re looking at.

In documentary Manufactured Landscapes director Jennifer Baichwal follows Burtynsky to China as he documents the huge scale of their industrial revolution. Without direct comment or judgement the film further explores what it is we’re doing to the planet, and to ourselves. A must see.
