Design is… to be creative in a reasonable way.

What inspires your designs?

Life is my inspiration.

What was the last truly revolutionary innovation in the world of design?

I like MUJI’s work.

What are your favourite working conditions & materials?

I need an independent mind in my working environment. My favourite materials are a notebook with paper and a pen with ink.

What should good design be?

Good design should reflect a problem and solve the problem that it reflects.

Nguyễn Thị Thùy Linh’s is exhibiting a graphic design series, which exemplifies that simplicity often works best in graphic design. As she herself states: “It’s the details that make the difference.” Using only the tools of typography, she has produced illustrations of the Chinese zodiac animals that spell out the very animals they are depicting. Linh is also an interior designer and currently works at Module 7.
