Film trailer: Flapping in the Middle of Nowhere
“Flapping in the Middle of Nowhere” the recently released film by Nguyễn Hoàng Điệp takes a stark look at life in Hanoi from the perspective of a young pregnant teenager Huyen, and her attempts to raise money for an abortion. Điệp’s film has received international acclaim in the arts world and a lot of it comes back to the sensation of place the film evokes.
The film is currently being shown at various international film festivals and the team is planning to release it in Vietnam end of November at the Hanoi International Film Festival before it hits local cinemas.
