Lê Hoàng Bích Phượng
‘She is the most established artist in the group having had both solo exhibitions and having participated in group exhibitions. She is working with new materials though and is showing this new work, which shows a different side to the artist. She has moved from silk to ceramic for this new series, but kept the fragile and very feminine nature to her pieces. She works on exposing certain social issues in her work. This time it is passion and regrets. Her works add a softer side to the colour palette as they are plain white, which makes them stick out.’
Lê Hoàng Bích Phượng lives and works in Ho Chi Minh City. She has exhibited both in Vietnam and abroad in solo and group exhibitions and has made a name for herself as a young artist who emerged strongly with a unique voice.
